We went in the month of March. So there was no rush, we could take out our car to interior side of the park.. Season time you have to take the trolley bus.
We flew to Las Vegas and drove to Zion National Park. There are huge mountains on the way. We had booked room inside the park near the visitors center.
For us that time breakfast was complimentary. We got healthy filling breakfast. First day it was raining. we could see the beauty of the mountains during rainy day. Next day there was sunshine. It was very pleasant with out cell phones(It won't work there )Next day we had our breakfast and drove inside the park.

There is a scenic drive about 13 miles round trip through the southern entrance and 22 miles round trip from eastern entrance.to Zion canyon. Use caution and good judgement when  driving  through these mountains. The road is not lit at night and contains hairpin turns that are difficult to maneuver there are no guardrails. The scenery is breathtaking.
We stayed 3 days there. We saw  a film Treasures of the Gods about Zion national park at IMAX theater

One day we went a long walk .canyon overlook trail begins at the parking area at the east end of Zion mount Carmel tunnel a moderately difficult half mile nature trail, it offers excellent views of the western side of the canyon. Our daughter took a very long walk in difficult trail with lots of water falls. She came back in the evening.
Next day we prepared to go to Bryce Canyon.
