Staten Island

Staten Island Ferry NY

You'll see the skyscrapers and bridges of Lower Manhattan from the ferry.

Statue of Liberty

The Staten Island Ferry provides 20 million people a year (60,000 passengers a day not including weekend days) with ferry service between St. George on Staten Island and Whitehall Street in lower Manhattan. The ferry is the only non-vehicular mode of transportation between Staten Island and Manhattan.

Saravana Bhavan one of the good south Indian restaurant in NY. Once in a month we go and eat there. Food is very delicious

We enjoyed breakfast and lunch at Saravanas located on 26th and Lexington, which is our favorite Indian restaurant. We also visited South Street Seaport and Wall Street. Weather co-operated with us these 2 days enabling us to enjoy New York thoroughly.

New York is always very lively place with people from all over the world.I love NY.
Fares: Passengers now ride the Staten Island Ferry for free.
The fare for passengers, which had been 50 cents for a round trip between St. George, Staten Island, and the Whitehall Terminal in lower Manhattan, was eliminated in 1997.
Ending the fare on the Staten Island Ferry allows Staten Islanders, many of whom had to pay two or even three fares, to reach Manhattan without an additional fare.
